5 Easy Steps – to save time and money

To get a quote and start to clean your telephone numbers online against the TPS or CTPS registers, quickly and at low cost, just follow these 5 Easy Steps:

Step 1 - Register - as a user
Step 2 - Instant quote - for cleansing for your list
Step 3 - Payment – for your online credits
Step 4 - Submit your list – to this website
Step 5 - Receive the results – by email to your inbox

Step 1 - Register

The registration process is simple. Just complete a few details here or from the home page and an email will be sent to you asking you to confirm your registration. Once you have done this you will receive another email confirming a password and your user name. Once you have this information, you can return to the site and follow the login link to your Members Area.


Step 2 - Instant Quote 

Follow the link to the Pricing Calculator from the Members area. Here you will be able to specify how many numbers you have in your list, against which register(s) you would like to screen and how often you would like to clean them. Click the Update button to receive your instant quote and a Pay Via PayPal button will appear.

To calculate the costs you need to decide whether to clean against one or both of the registers. If you are only calling domestic subscribers it’s easy, you only need to clean against the TPS.

If you are calling businesses you must check against the CTPS and you may need to check against the TPS as well. The CTPS includes corporate bodies such as limited companies, schools, hospitals, charities and government institutions. However, sole traders and partnerships are listed on the TPS so if you have any doubt as to the status of your business prospects you should clean against both registers.


Step 3 - Payment

  • Pay Online - Click on the ‘Pay Via PayPay’ button, and pay using either a PayPal account if you have one, or using any major credit, debit or charge card. Once payment has been received, you will receive an email confirming that credits have been added to your Member account. You will also receive a receipt (invoice paid) for your payment. You will then be ready for Step 4.

  • Pay Offline – Please email us a purchase order, including the total amount payable, the registers you would like to screen against (TPS, CTPS or both) and the number of credits confirmed by the Pricing Calculator. Financial checks will then be undertaken, before screening credits are added to your account. An invoice will then be sent to you, on 30 day payment terms. You will then be ready for Step 4.

  • Standing Order - If you would prefer to pay by standing order, please download the form from the document download area within the Members Area. You will need to send us the originals but to get things moving emailed copies can be sent to us initially. When screening credits have been applied to your account you will receive an email for confirmation. You will then be ready for Step 4.


Step 4 - Submit your file 

Prepare your list by extracting only the telephone numbers from your data and saving them in either a .csv (recommended) or a .txt file format. Then just make sure that the telephone numbers in your list meet the file guidelines, which in summary are:

  • Have the full area code and telephone number e.g. 01451 860105
  • Have at least one space in the number e.g. 020 8420 4242 or 0845 555555
  • Have a zero as the first character e.g. 01451 860105
  • Do not have an international dialling codes prefix e.g. +44 (0) 1451 860105
  • Do not have extension numbers e.g. 01451 860105 x2345

Log in to your Members Area and click on ‘New Telephone Number Comparison’ and confirm against which registers (TPS/CTPS or both) you would like to clean your data. Use the ’Choose File/Browse’ button to locate and select your file of numbers (.csv or .txt), add a personal reference for this particular job (click on the box next to ‘Your Reference’) if you wish and click the ‘Upload comparison’ button to start screening your telephone numbers.


Step 5 - Receive the results 

Within a few minutes you will receive an email with the screened telephone numbers (called ‘Modified File’) and a copy of your original file attached.

The Modified File contains all of your numbers in their original order, so you can paste them straight back into your original database and they will align perfectly and with the matched numbers that you should not call highlighted by the prefix *TPSLISTED* and / or *CTPSLISTED*.

The email will also have your personal reference to help you manage your files and a 121prodata reference which you will need to quote if you have any issues with the cleanse.

121prodata recommends that you store your results emails for a minimum of six months. The results will be also saved in your Members Area for audit purposes, which you can view by clicking on the Comparison History link.
